Carven Competitor

Just picked up my truck from getting the Carven Competitor cat back installed. Wow! Nice deep rumble, but I didn't find it anxious at all. It will get its first cold start in the morning, but a warm start isn't so loud that the neighbors will be pissy.

It is loud when you jump on it, but that is what I wanted and I would not say that it is over the top. Of course, loudness is subjective to everybody so this is just my opinion. Overall I am very happy with it. Definitely worth the money!

I haven't gotten it on the highway yet so I can't speak for the drone, but I have no problem disengaging my MDS if it irritates me. I've drove a truck since I started driving so I'm not worried about the gas mileage.

Here is a quick cold start video I took before I left for the gym this morning. The video doesn't do it justice as it is mich louder in person. It isn't the **** your neighbors off kind of loud though. The homes in my neighborhood are pretty close together and I don't think it will be a problem.

Actually it's not that bad. Don't get me wrong you hear the exhaust the whole time you're driving but it is a nice clean sound. When you get up to cruising speeds it is pretty soft and I can tell when mds kicks in but it is pretty faint and doesn't sound bad.

Perfect and thanks, I want to hear it all the time but when cruising, no drone or mind altering sound that makes me want to drive off the road. I was considering the progressive but now think the competitor may be a better option.

I was worried about the drone, and would shut off my mds if it bothered me, but it truly does not sound bad when it kicks in. You can tell the difference, but it still sounds clean.

The competitor is loud, but not obnoxious. I do hear it inside the house on a cold start, but it mellows out pretty quick.

Unfortunately sound is subjective to each person's personal opinion, so things like this can be tough to judge. I am happy with the kit, enough so that any other vehicle I get in the future, this exhaust will be my go to.
