Carven progressive muffler LOUD!

Ive prob read most comments on the forum concerning this muffler, only a couple poeple say its too loud. I listened to every sound clip, none do it justice to the depth and volume. Anyway, my buddy installed the competitor, i swear mine is just as loud. I now officially know what drone is i think. Maybe im bein a big ****** here but after a 45 min ride on back winding roads my head was thumpin. Is there anything i could have possibly did wrong on install? I see no metal to metal contact anywhere. Just looking for some thoughts.

8 speed? You can set the gear selector to "8" to keep the MDS from kicking in.

Sorry forgot that info, yeah 8spd, 3.21s. I always turn mds off. Its that 1200-1500 rpm range when ur not on the gas, doin about 45 maybe, mind numbing to me. Luv startup and mashing throttle but that rpm range is killin me. I hope i can get used to it

I have the Progressive and same drivetrain as you. Trust me, you will get used to it!!!...and LOVE it!

I have the same, too. I find the worst to be right around 55mph while the transmission is in 7th gear around the 1500rpm mark. Once the shift to 8th gear happens all is fine. That damn 1500rpm is an ear ringer, for sure.

I have the competitor with 8spd and 3.92

Some drone but has never bothered me. Absolutely love how it’s a deep growl.

My lady made it sound like she wasn’t pleased with the sound. Later she let it slip that she absolutely loves it when she gets behind the wheel.

Damn the cold starts at -3c are loud as ****. Let’s see what she does at -40c [emoji2937][emoji2532][emoji48][emoji2937][emoji2532]

Brothas I just installed my carven on Rampage and I love it sounds louder than my Chally exhaust
I can say that doing 70-80mph there is lots of Deep drone
But just crank up the Stones and don’t bother me none BTW 2 hour install start to finish in the driveway
