I’m new here. I was told today my 2015 3500 with 6.7 has a bad cat. Cost to replace 1700 dollars. Very much considering delete with raceme tuner and complete exhaust replace from flex pipe back. Any recommendations.

Instead of hanging the engineer, how about focusing that attention on the EPA which you directly finance.I’ll tell ya right now, the engineer that came up with egr, should be hung by the short and curly’s! EGR is bad, period.
There are other ways to accomplish the same thing EGR does but unfortunately it's a mandated technology.Yes because going back to the zero emissions regulation days would be much better, right?

Dinky, I don't know where you got your VW mileage numbers because they were getting up into 60+ mpg with the diesel cars in Europe. After they were busted, the cars went down to mid to upper 20 mpg. When my Cummins was stock it made 11.4 - 14.0 mpg highway empty and after the delete via H&S MiniMaxx it jumped to 20-23+ on the same roads at 75mph. Sorry to say the Mini contributed to head gasket failure and truck is re-tuned with EZlynk (safer tow tune) and now gets 18-19 highway mpg.
