I know my 05 has an internal PCV, but I've often considered running one between the that hose that runs from the intake to the oil fill neck. Always seems to be oily. Anyone done this? Thanks.

(real question here, not sarcasm) What will that accomplish? What happens to all the nasty, oily air (full of condensation all winter)?

To be honest i dont belive i have very much oil residue that come through the tube. I know of a few hemis that have oil residue all over air filter or at least make a dark spot on one part but i checked my air filter (stock) 3 or 4 times this summer and it was always free of oil residue. Havent checked it since its been cold. Also my intake tube was nice and clean the time i took it apart.

But at the same time whatever vapors are circulating through i dont want them in my intake. Assuming the internal pcv is doing its job correctly most vapors are going strait though to the intake manifold but i still want to minimize the effect.
Also deleting the hose that runs across from the oil fill all the way to the air filter will bring me some aesthetic pleasure haha

This is more of a 4th gen issue. Not sure why. My 09 would catch a lot of oil in a few weeks. Mind you I drove it pretty hard so that didn't help.

How does the UBR compare to the BT? Similar internal design?

I just did a search and after getting the windows tinted in a couple of weeks, I think the numerous threads I've read on this mod is convincing me I need to do this next.

I've got some newbie questions (sorry in advance!) but is it relatively easy to empty the oil from the catch can?

Also, I would assume the oil dispersed into the can is junk/dirty oil?

Next, aside from saving the engine from the recycled/dirty oil/moisture heading back into the intake, are there any other benefits? i.e., fuel efficiency, etc, etc.

Lastly, is this a relatively easy mod to install...?

Yes nasty oil that you dump out, do not put it back into your truck.
Yes TB and oil octane isn't dirty or reduced. No noticible milage increase.
Very easy to install, on the 2012 there is 2 locations were you can install the z bracket, I choice the lower one, to me gravity should help pull the nasty stuff to the can.
Ask as many questions as you like. That's how we learn...

I have a BT can. They made me wait 7 weeks for it. They were upfront and honest when I called. My thought was, if they are in this much demand, must be quality. I have to say, it looks good.

We actually received 40 catch cans this week, and have another 40 that will be here Wednesday. As of right now, all catch cans orders have been shipped, and we have 2 cans in stock that can ship today. Next week, we will have more than 40 catch cans in stock and ready to ship same day. Billet Tech is finally caught up, and it looks like the extended backorders are officially over.

Hey Matt/others,
Is there a specific height, in relation to the PCV valve, that a can should be mounted at? Higher? Lower? Equal plane?
