Ok ok....I know this subject is beaten to death on every auto forum with catch cans, but i wanted to ask the guys who have these on their Rams in sub freezing temps. I want to get one for my Ram but I live in Buffalo, NY where it very often get below freezing at night in the winter. I leave my truck outside mostly. I have two questions.

1. Will the catch can freeze solid on me overnight and block my PVC system??

2. How quickly will is fill up with condensation in the cold months??

I drive about 350 miles a week. I'm really good on maintaining my trucks, so emptying it isn't a problem except if I have to do it everyday!

I appreciate your feedback!

No, it will not freeze up. It will be mixed with the oil so it cannot freeze.

Even if there's is enough water mixed with the oil to make it freeze, the oil/water is at the bottom of the reservoir and will not clog the inlet/outlet at the top.

Does anyone know how much and quickly the catch can will fill with water/oil slurry in the winter cold months? I had a 2013 F-150 with the Ecoboost and guys running catch cans in those had to empty them every 400-500 miles. That was not practical for me and my weekly commute.

Even for some far out reason if it were to freeze up a bit, once the truck is started I would think it would thaw out fast enough, underhood temps get hot enough for that.
