Benefits: emissions control, noise reduction, no exhaust smell, keeps the cops off your case. You will also have better bottom end compared to no cats but with no cats you will have better top end.

I asked because am on half cats now . i gutted the upper front parts of the cats and it was half blocked and i kept the rear parts of cats . i noticed better acceleration and stall when floor it is less than before but its still there , noise wise little bit louder , so i dont know if i should gut the rest of cats or keep , concerning cops we dont have inspection in our country .

I would recommend gutting the cat entirely at this point since you're more likely to have the substrate break away if you've already removed some of it and it can block the outlet and choke off the flow. You're already halfway there, the only thing you will need to do is either get a custom tune that disables the rear O2 sensors or install O2 sensor simulators just so you don't get codes popping up.

OK , i gutted the cats yesterday . i noticed the truck became smother with better response , didn't feel any low end loss , the truck still spins a lot on take off , but what was surprising is the exhaust sound still the same not like when i gutted the cats on my 06 few years ago it became so annoying on the 06
