Center Console Lid Squeaks

My center console lid seems to squeak real bad. Every time i move my arm on it squeaks or hit a rough road. Any one else notice theirs making noise.

Mine is the same way, I have the 40/20/40seating up front. The funny part is if I put my arm fully flush ( right in the middle ) then it’s quiet as a Church mouse. Doesn’t really bother me as I’m old school and accept in my truck that it’s going to sound like that. Now my buddy’s $90,000 Escalade makes some seriously creepy sounds lol.

Not sure if this will help.but shortly after I installed a console security lid Mine started to squeak. I thought it was the security lid at first. but what i found was a black piece of tape like strip where the lid latches down wrinkled up. pulled the strip off the latch hole. which let the latch lock down better an hasn't squeaked since. bought my truck used so not sure if this is a factory thing or the previous owner installed it on latch hole. but it fixed my squeak hope this helps as I know how irritating it is for the lid to squeak good luck.

Coming home from seeing Equalizer 2 mine was doing it. When I have my middle seat up, it doesn’t make a sound lol.

I have the front bench seat with center fold down console.

There is plastic to plastic contact between the underside of the lid with this section on the console. If you put some type of dampening material on the yellow marked part in the pic it will resolve the squeak. But then your passenger can make the same squeak on their side without it LOl.

Other option is to rest your right elbow closer to the center LOL
