Have an 03 Ram 2500 4x4 with a Cummins engine and want to swap from 17" wheels to 16" wheels. Will Gen 2 16" wheels or other 16" wheels fit over the caliper? Is there a work around? Have new quality LT tires from another vehicle I want to use.

The 16" wheels will not clear the caliper. The only thing I can think of that would make it possible would be to use a large spacer to push the wheels out away from the brakes but then it would look funny with the smaller wheels sticking out.

My opinion would be to stick with the 17's and sell the new 16" tires on Craigslist and be done with them.

It won't even remotely clear the caliper, unless (like he said) you space them ridiculously outside the fenders. Why do you think it comes with 17's? 16's would've been cheaper for the factory.

Just ditch the brakes an you’ll be set.
