My 2017 Big Horn HEMI is about to turn to 100,000 miles. I changed the plugs a couple of months ago, and am looking at other things that should be done at this point.
All of the coolant hoses are original. No signs of any leaks from anywhere in the system. Looking at the manual, all I can find it that the coolant should be drained and replaced at 160,000 miles, but nothing about the radiator or heater hoses. These things seem to last much longer than they did years ago, I think the materials are better than they used to be, and the modern coolant formulations likely are better too.
Does anyone change out the hoses as a maintenance item? If so - what prompts you to do it? Time. miles, or hoses feeling hard or very soft?
