Anyone have any luck finding some aftermarket wheels where the chrome is of a similar color/hue as the bumper??

Wish that was the case. Went to a shop recently and the chrome on some of the wheels looks different than the bumpers.

Kind of like not all stainless steel finishes on kitchen appliances matching across different brands.

The “color” of chrome depends on the ratio of the different metals in it.

I think the quality accounts for a lot of it. Stainless is a hit a miss most is really ****** quality. Stick a magnet to "stainless " should only be slightly magnetic.

Oh yeah, for sure. One of the cheaper chrome wheels almost had this weird gold hue to it. It just didn’t look right next to the side steps.

Are you looking at chrome itself or PVD? If salt is a factor at all they is something to consider and can affect the color as well.

If the chrome looks yellowish it's because the chrome shop skimped on the nickle under the top coating of chrome. It's the nickle that gives the silver color to the part. If it's yellowish you are seeing the copper under the nickle. The chrome only protects the under coatings.
