I just picked up a new Warlock yesterday and it was raining so all I did was a quick walk around. Today I was giving it a good look over and getting acquainted with it when I notice there was no hitch on it. The window sticker and the Ram web page both state that a class 3 hitch is standard. When I called the dealer, I was told that the class 3 hitch does not include a receiver, only the mounting bracket which is there. Does that sound correct?

all of the ones that left the factory with a hitch receiver had a Class 4 setup

For some unknown reason, dealerships like to install Class 3 receivers

Ram just leave buying the hitch & ball up to the buyer
Some ppl have a trailer with a higher setup than others, others want adjustable height hitches
Most ppl use a ball hitch, others need a Pintle Hook

Sounds right, unfortunately. I had to buy my receiver after the fact.

Yes. It is right. The bumper is the class 3 hitch. The class 4 receiver hitch is an option. Either standalone or as part of the towing package.

It can be added fairly easily. Lots of people make this mistake...thinking they all come With the hitch.

My '19 didn't come with one either. It said delete class 4 receiver on the build sheet. I ended up buying a class 4 from etrailer.

Etrailer usually has some good deals

When i bought the 2009 Dodge Ram, it had the Class 4 receiver on it
My current Factory order 2016 Ram has the Class 4 receiver also

I suggest that if your Ram did not come with any receiver, that you buy a set of Kurt brand Bolt Fish Wires
They came in handy when i was installing a Front Hitch Receiver on my old 1999 Chevy 1/2 ton

Or send me your address, and I'll mail you mine and you can mail them back to me. Might save you a buck or 2, depending on how much Kurt wants to sell them for.
