Wow, the Vararam really collects some debris! I was changing my oil and emptying my catch can. So I decided why not shake out the Vararam air filter.

There must have been a 1/4 cup of dead bugs and crap all around the filter. This was my first time cleaning so I just pulled the filter off after removing the cover. dumps a bunch of bugs in to the intake. I would have taken pictures but I was too busy panicking trying to vacuum and blow out all the bugs. That was only after 3000 miles. I really gotta get around to putting some mesh behind my grill.

Anyone else with a Vararam, be warned when cleaning!

yep, gets full of sand and bugs way to quickly for my liking. i found snow/ice on it one day in the winter. that was enough for me to remove it. looks cool, just wasnt practical for me so i switched to s&b.

That only proves how well it works. It is pulling in more air than any other system available, but with more air comes more bugs and dirt. Just keep up with the cleaning, and you are good to go.
