Watching one of my fav Youtube shows, they were talking about these Clearview Mirrors. I like their look and design.

https://clearviewmirrorsusa.com

Its an Australian made mirror so they mostly cater to Japanese vehicles, Land Rovers and Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks.

I find myself in need of mirrors since a car wash guy broke the power folding motor on my truck by forcing it while the truck was off. Now even when on the highway I notice the glass moves slightly on a cruise.

I don't tow so towing mirrors make no sense to me. However I like the Clearview design and they extend if I need them to. So I was thinking of an upgrade instead of just a replacement.

Does anyone know a mirror upgrade for the Ram that is similar to the Clearview?

I don’t. I would like to have that style mirror on my ram. Much better design than what ram offers.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

They certainly do look great. It seems that the Nissan Titan has the same style mirrors as the Clearview ones..

It doesn’t look like they make them for the ram.

Well it seems that this style of lights is available for the Ford F150 and the Chevy trucks, but not for the Ram. It is even available for the Tundra.

Are Ram buyers that low on the priority list? I notice this quite a bit actually. Either the aftermarket really doesn't care OR the Ram trucks are so practically perfect, they find a hard time improving it. ;)

I think it’s just low on the priority list.

Since FCA does ship Ram 1500s to Australia now, I asked ClearView if the Ram will be considered for the towing mirrors. They replied with a positive response.
They create products based on demand and so far there I was not the only one that asked them about it. They are currently in the design phase and should be releasing the items early next year.

They asked me to fill out a form on their site which will inform me when the items are ready for sale.

Hopefully they’ll make real tow mirrors for the ram, not that oem style crap.

Yeah I have a complaint to all these aftermarket towing mirrors. They have them for the Chevys and the Fords. Proof:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K2RNB9...&pd_rd_r=56141340-7dd7-4a59-bab1-624066f519b2

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FTGRTN0?aaxitk=8j7QjMG6Djbt3c-ULqmxEw

And this is all the the same brand will give the Ram..

Why?

If like to find some meant for another brand that would fit the ram so I could have some decent tow mirrors.

Until the new mirrors come to market, you should have the carwash pay for the repair.

Oh... tried that... Getting those morons to pay for the repair is only going to cause me more grief and waste my time. If you live in Dubai, you'd know. Happens when you deal with idiots from the India. (Not being racist... I was told that phrase from my friend; who is Indian and from their same state.)

For now, the mirror is OK and I'm able to use it. The only thing that doesn't work is the power-folding function. So I'm good to wait till the mirrors come to market.

Hmm... I wonder if they would consider send me a set to do some testing for them.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. However I have just been informed by Clearview in Australia that they do have towing mirrors for the Ram now..

So if anyone is interested in getting some better towing mirrors than what comes from the factory, its good to know you have options.

Please share this around as I believe quite a few people were waiting for something like this..
I think FCA should just order these mirrors and sell them on the Mopar store as towing mirrors instead of the factory ones.

I just put on a set of 'GM Style' mirrors for my 2014 3500 SLT, from Boost Auto Parts...Loving them so far...They do not have a 'power folding' set, but they offer many options...
