Yeah had the battery disconnected overnight now im only getting 12 and 33 i had unplugged the tps to see if it ran any different was trying to find out why it was having a hard time starting and unplugging it didnt effect it at all so back to searchingcode 33 is pretty normal for trucks without a/c. have you tried erasing the code to see if it comes back. it is possible that the throttle position sensor might be causing issues.
Ill try thathave you tried priming the fuel system before starting it? key on wait 5 seconds, key off, key back wait 5 seconds and then try starting? see if it makes a difference
Priming didnt help maybe throttle body just needs a rebuild, probably do a carb conversion with tax returnshave you tried priming the fuel system before starting it? key on wait 5 seconds, key off, key back wait 5 seconds and then try starting? see if it makes a difference
I havent replaced anything' ecu and wiring was all done recently still has sticker on ecu and the engine harness looks brand new, i know the truck sat for a while before i bought it, i wanna do a carb conversion cause of how gutless the thing is and i cant add a cam with out it, could the throttle body being overtightend cause issues, i did tighten it down because the bolts didnt seem that tighti personally would not do a carb conversion unless the truck is a toy that you only drive in the summer because the cost of all the parts needed to do the conversion are not really cheap by the time all is said and done. you would need a complete ignition system on top of new intake/carb and fuel pressure regulator.
have you replaced any sensors or parts on the engine? i would maybe wonder if it is a hall effects sensor.
Im gonna change out the filter first and see if that helpssitting shouldn't hurt anything as far as i can tell other than things like the fuel sending unit. ya you can't do much about the cam without changing thing up but i would possibly consider looking at some sort of aftermarket fuel injection setup like a Fi-Tech setup. they are are fairly cheap and pretty self tuning. they also have options like the option to control electric fans if you decide to ad some. it will cost a bit more than converting to carb but it would make the truck easier to use as a daily driver and would also likely give you more power than a carb would without having to really do all the trial and error tuning that you have to sometimes do when building an engine.

i don't think over tightening TB bolts should effect it any. i would think you possibly have a sensor acting up or something not working right.
Figured itd be the cheapest part so ill start there loli don't know if a filter would make that much of a difference on a fuel injected vehicle. you could pull it and try blowing through it both ways. probably wouldn't hurt to replace it but i don't think it is what is causing your issue.
Ive replaced it once but the truck sat for atleast a year with fuel in the tanki would probably start by just blowing through it since that is free. them fuel injected fuel filters are not as cheap as you would think. i think they are usually about $20-30 which is why i haven't replaced one yet.
Its working its self out driving now and its getting better, wonder of it was just cause the tps being unplugged for a little bitif the filter is only 1 year old then i wouldn't even worry about it. it would take a lot longer than a year for stuff like the fuel to really break down and clog the system.
If i prime it 3 times its fine, if it's loosing pressure should i start replacing fuel lines?the computer could still just be re-learning since you reset the computer. is it still hard to start?
