I’m sure I’ll be happy with my Inertia cam once the tuning is complete and the trans is capable of holding the power reliably. I haven’t been able to fully push it to see what it’s capable of yet. But it’s only has a .556/.560 lift, I see Rick wanting to run a .630 or more lift cam in his Hemi build and makes me wonder how much bigger is realistic. An eagle head swap is really enticing me now. Maybe next years project...

Ric I believe is building a big na motor. This will need great flow characteristics. Lots of lift will certainly open the flow rates. But as the lift goes up valve timing becomes more critical with no room for error. Pretty much custom valves and headers to promote flow. These engines are primarily Saturday night specials.

Hmm then maybe just better flowing heads is the ticket. I’m hoping to find a 4th gen part out and catch a great deal. Gotta keep my eyes peeled. Idk if I want to use a stock intake with the necessary spacers or go with an aftermarket, like your ocp. I may keep ahold of my spare block and buy a cheap timing cover. I can mock up the heads and decide to use a car or truck timing cover. My uncle has a tool and die machine shop and said he could make the aluminum spacers if he had plans or specs. I think my motor is built around a 9.6:1 compression, I’ll get thicker gaskets and hope for a ~10.5:1 and keep it N/A. Lots to think about I guess

I'm at 8.9cr using Arrington bv phase 6 heads. Next motor will be lower cr with more boost.

The last mod was narrowing the rear axle. 9.25 oem narrowed 8". I used Torino big bearing collars to eliminate the c clips. Using the big ford bearing co20180609_133842.jpg llars allowed me to use Wilwood brake kit with the hidden ebrake. The brakes is a bolt together kit that was easy to attach to the trucks ebrake peddle.

.

Like those retro wheels . Had them on the 80,s. New or refinished ?

Not sure which rims you are talking about. The billets are old school, but the Weld are just race wheels. Would like to find some matching rims 7" wide for front.
