I just wanted to share with everyone the air intake I've been using for almost 4 years now. It was made by B-Line Motorsports and its exactly what I wanted. Works great never had any issue's with it at all. I noticed with all the other intakes on the market there very loud even at 50% throttle. Not this intake when you step on the throttle you can tell there's a intake under the hood but does not sound like a boat in my opinion. Feel free to ask questions I just thought I would share a different intake option for the HEMI'S.

Interesting, this is the first I've seen of this intake. Cost?

I paid $380. But its a custom part. That stuff always cost more.

Hmm. Interesting how the filter is right behind the grill? What about when it rains? Suck up water?

It looks cool. Different than most. But it says nothing of ram on their website? Maybe they gave up on trying to make em for these trucks?

I'm sure if there's enuf interest B-Line would produce a kit to sell. They can even use my truck for prototyping and production. Trucks never gone to the Dyno but I know there's a increase in power. I had the Mopar intake & K&N I tried them both and did not like them. Like I was saying didn't like the noise and I didn't really notice much in performance gain. Now the B-Line Intake I felt a difference immediately after picking up the truck. Throttle response was better truck just felt like it was breathing better overall.

What is the track intake? I've seen that all over the forums. Does anyone have pictures? I'm just curios!

Find it hard to believe there isnt any issues with water. Yes, in LA, it doesnt rain all that much. But driving on the freeway while its raining or the roads are wet, that filter is getting saturated. Maybe the truck still runs fine, but the filter itself cannot be fine.

About dyno testing a CAI

In most instances it's hard to actually determine the gains provided by a CAI, as your box doesn't really compress air, it does in fact direct more air flow. With that said your motor will suck it's 5.7 liters of air, with less restrictions does that guarantee better performance on a dyno, perhaps marginal, in my opinion you'll see better gains on the road forcing more air in.

The piping is ran exactly how mine is except my filter is more hidden. I pull the filter then attach a extension pipe to my grill scoop. I assume you removed/relocated your coolant reservoir.

Also the pipe looks to be made out of metal which is a no go for me

I'll say it again and believe it or not. 4 years issue free! Intake is made of aluminum. Custom coolant tank was made by B-Line also. You can see it off to the right in the pictures. Please don't start trying to prove that there are issue's with this intake or blah blah blah. I didn't post it for that. I was just sharing my set up something different...

I'm on my phone right now but I can search a link when I get to work. That last elbow right before the filter, imagine that was the opening. No filter. Straight shot of air with the opening facing the front of the truck. Great for the drag strip.

Id like it if itwere made out of abs plactic. Im interested in this coolant tank. Is that something they sell or was yours prototype?

That's a hot air intake. Most of the time you are sucking engine compartment air. Only when moving at speed will you get through-radiator cooling--which is still plenty warm.

Bigger than stock filter is a good thing.
Plastic vice metal pipe is good, but you're not sucking on a cold air source from the line or at slow speeds.

Casper i'm not sure if your talking to me or another member. Because there Is know whey this is a hot air intake! Maybe B-Line would do it in abs plastic SICMADEK i'm not sure. My aluminum tube really does not get hot even on hot days here in LA. I know I sound like a broken record but I love it and i'm sure this intake system works. If you have question call B-Line they do stuff like this all day every day!
