Can't wait to get them next week. I am swapping out the factory 3.73 gears and putting in the 4.56 gears. Just in time for Bloomsburg.

Anyone else here have a Hemi, with 4.56's on 35's? How many rpm's do you get at 65-70 mph?

mph x gear ratio x 336

Tire diameter

65 x 4.56 x 336 = 99590.4

99590.4 / 35 = 2845.44

2845.44 X .67 = 1906.44

THANKS. I just wanted to see what I would be running at.

Will 4.56 gears improve mpg's? Someone told me yes, but I am not so sure.

My miles per gallon has gone up. And I drive all city. Highway, it'll drop because you'll most likely be running higher Rpms at the same speed.

That's what I thought.

More rpm's on the highway might get a little thirstier, but mostly driven locally. So I can save a little.

You can keep the same rpm that you have now but your mph will be a little lower. Might take a little longer to there via the highway but you may make up for lost time in the city LOL.

I have seen increase in mpg from 3.55 to 4.56. Average about 15 mpg with mostly in town (45 max speed) and 18 mpg at 75 mph on interstate. At 55 mph i can get over 20.

Ps 34.7 inch tires

4.56s and 35/37s are killer. You get all the power back and then some from when you switched to 35" m/t tires not to mention getting better mpg city driving. If you do off-roading they really help too. I'm definitely planning on them but it might be another year or two before I can get them.

Well, got them in today. Going into the shop tomorrow.

Got my tactical grille yesterday, (another thread) Took the grille off, going to work on that tomorrow and Thursday.

Getting the MegaBitch back on Friday night or Saturday morning. Then gonna put the grille on, fix a big rig ice light that broke. (Recon is sending a new one at no cost) thats being swapped out on Saturday.

Dudes, I can't wait.

Then I am getting tires at Bloomsburg, PA 4 wheel Jamboree and I am done spending money for the rest of the year. (Yeah, right)

:killer: That's the GF following me

Best mod I have ever done. Truck could almost still use more gear still if you are towing. 37's need like 4.88's I would imagine.

I am not touching those gears. My luck, I will **** it up. I took it to my mechanic of 15+ years. Have it back in 2-3 days. (He works during the day, side job mechanic at night at his house)

But still got a busy weekend ahead. One of my big rig ice lights broke. An LED light or one diode, broke off inside the tube. Recon is sending me another one. Should get that by Friday.

And have to "take a little off the top" of my tactical grille. Doing that at work tomorrow. Pulled off my rille yesterday. So while its in the shop, I am working on the grille. Hopefully the light and grille will be on Saturday, or Sunday.

Then, lastly, I gotta reprogram the computer for the 4.56's. Thank you superchips.

Whew, that was a lot.

What programming changes need to be done on SC when changing gears?
