Hello all, I’m trying to find a comparison tool to see how much of a lift is required to met a 2015 Power Wagon vs a 2015 RAM 1500 4x4 tradesman. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I parked next to a newer Power Wagon And like how it’s stance was. I under stand that it come with 285/70R17 tires however when I looked up its night it was in at 77.7” and my RAM came in at 77.5 according to RAM. It seemed a lot taller and hade more ground clearance for be a stock power wagon.

I have a 2.8 level and 36 inch tall tires and im still lower than my fathers stock power wagon. Id say a 4/3 with 36 inch tall tires would get you there.

A power wagon is 2” taller than a regular 2500. I am on 35”s and am taller than most (if not all) lifted half tons in my area. You got a long way to go to get to power wagon height.

Prolly 6” , but a 6” lift on 33”s will look a little awkward.

You could go 4” and 35”s and should be right there.

You’d have to go with a 6” lift and 35s. The power wagon is a different truck underneath. Not much is the same as yours. For example it has a solid front axle which gives it height.

If you had a tradesman 2500 4x4 I’d say it be much easier to make it stand like a power wagon

Yes, a 6" lift on 35's will put you just alittle taller than a stock Powerwagon. My brother in law has one and i sit higher5.jpg

6" and 35" tires put a friend of mine just about the same as my leveled 2500. So, you'd be close with that.

*I'm getting a PW in 2020 new body style.
Can't wait!!

I never understood why Ram specs say the 1500 is 77.5 inches. Makes no sense. Its not accurate. The day I picked up my 2500 STOCK it was over 2 inches taller up front than my leveled 1500. Stock for stock a PW is a couple inches taller than a standard 2500 gasser due to the coils as said above.

Pic kind of sucks but here's mine next to a Silverado 1500 with I think it was a 4.5 inch lift. I'd say it was around 2 inches taller overall than the Chevy. I have added almost 3 inches over stock height plus the height of the 35's. Overall I believe it was just about 80 inches at the roof. I think 37's would put it over 80 inches.

my sharkfin is 85-3/8", not sure what a PW is, will a PW fit in a garage with a standard 7ft door?

My truck is 7’8” to the top of my lights, so probably about 7’4” to the top of the cab

Sounds like quite a lift for my 1500. Eventually I get to a leveling kit and new tires. I just won’t be as high as a power wagon.

Part of the power wagon stance is it’s axles and bulkier 2500 series hood and quarter panels. The wider track axle also give it its look.

It would be cheaper to trade for a 2500 gasser.

I just picked up a 2017 power wagon (bone stock)last week and my front ground to fender measurement was about 42.5" and on my old 1500 with a zone 6" with bills at 2.8" and 37s I was at 46". The power wagon is a pretty big truck, I only plan on a thuren level kit and call it a day.

Well there’s your answer, if you want to be as tall as a stock power wagon your gonna need 8” lift and 37’s minimum
Being that tall, knowing how tall you are is important when going through parking garages and drive thrus

Takes a lot of work to match a PW when you start out with a vehicle thats closer to an Elcamino to begin with :happy160:

My 1500 2wd had a 4.5" lift with 35s and I'm pretty sure it was an inch or 2 smaller than my stock power wagon on 33s. I will eventually go with a level and 37s to make it quite a bit taller.
