Computer Flash/Update Question Help

Had the truck in for service today and they said there a few updates.
One was a emissions no cost as it fell under the 8yr/80k

The other was a cluster flash/update.
Had them done and when I got my truck I noticed that the hour meter had been reset to zero
Was this suppose to happen?
Here are the up date numbers 44737 18-19 02-9U
I think the the 44737 is my mikeage as that was the in mileage to service.
Module Update
Old 6809629AK new 56046540AK
What does this all mean?
Hopefully RamCares sees this and can Help

Thank Youa

I'm curious so I will follow ,seems to me that the hour meter should not have been reset I don't think the next owner will care about how many hours on your update but just might be interested in drivetrain hours

I agree
My service writer said it is normal for it to be reset when doig a cluster flash
One thing I did notice was that the engine off option now works, where as before it would always default back to 45 seconds.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Here is my 2 cents worth. Federal Law only covers the mileage on the odometer and not engine hours. That is a nicety to have and not a necessity.

You can push the dealership to try and see if they have the ability to reinstate the engine hours but I think that is a slim possibility at best. You do have a record of the odometer being re-flashed and I would keep that record and make a note of it on the paperwork what your engine hours were at that time and if it becomes a point of concern at sale, present that to be added to any hours accumulated since. 99% of buyers both private and dealership level are only going to care about the mileage.
