I tried mine from my 13. I wasn't happy with the fit. The rails were a tad short and I was worried it was a loose seal at the tailgate. I went ahead and sold it and will buy an MX4 soon. I also like the fact that the MX4 can be closed with the tailgate up or down.

Interesting... my rails go right to the edge. I actually had to put the tailgate up to make sure they were not too long.

I ordered a MX4 yesterday for my 2019. I asked the guy to make sure he ordered a 2019. He confirmed and said that a few weeks ago they tried to install a 2018 cover on a 2019 truck. He said they were able to “make it work” but he said they are not the same at all.

He is blowing smoke... they are identical.

That was my experience. I had a Bakflip Fibermax from my 2013 and I didn't like the way it fit. The rails were about a 1/2 inch too short for each side and I didn't feel that I was getting a solid seal on the tailgate. It would have worked, but not to my liking.

Which version were you using? Mine was a Fibermax and it was a 1/2 inch or so short on each side.

G2... even if the rail is short a hair it should still lock into place.

So we can agree to disagree that the older covers “can” work on a 19 but there is a difference on the 19’s to make them for perfect on the new trucks.
