I really hope this is true. Apparently a smaller displacement magnum, not a hemi.

This guys seems pretty confident:

Manufacturers have gotten pretty good at getting a lot of hp and tq out of smaller engines. If it's in the 5.0 neighborhood as he suggests, that maybe be a little small for a 2500/3500 IMO, but it's certainly better than the hurricane and should still be able to get good power. 1) Hopefully he is right and 2) hopefully they can get it to market soon.

A new V8 engine? Maybe, but video looks like a bunch of speculation and fog to me. Not holding my breath.

Read about You-tube influencers and how they are paid. Some make
a full time living there. This may be one of those.

Yes we all know how YT works.

There are multiple guys now talking about a possible new v8. Nobody knows for certain, its interesting to speculate, discuss, throw ideas around etc, that's why we're here on a forum, is it not?

I do agree its speculation, which is why the title has quotes around "confirmed" and why I said "I hope its true".

I don't have any issue with someone saying they don't believe it, that's perfectly fine. But your previous comments (in this thread and the other one) are far more bitter, there is no need for any of that.

Well, I would like to see some type of v-8 being offered with decent horsepower/torq.

Hopefully things will change soon of having a choice of an internal combustion engine or that other "electric thing on four wheels".

IMHO, folks that have a choice of owning an ice or that electric thing on four wheels, would readily be more to accept the latter?

Also, RAM. Bring back the regular cab short bed and with an v-8 ...

Both Ford & GM have a current V8, who would think Stellantis would be so daft as to cut themselves out of that market and not have an equivalent product?

.
Why their brilliant strategist CEO Carlos lmao.

This is 100% on Carlos. All the previous Ram/Dodge CEO's knew this was a stupid idea, that's why they up and left.

Carlos Tavares needs to get fired yesterday already. He's arrogant and doesn't understand North America.

IF it comes out, will be for the 1500. Ram invested to much in the hurricane to drop it.

All they got to do is recast the Hemi in aluminum to save weight and add direct injection. That will increase power and help with emissions at the same time.

Ford has turbo engines but still offers a V8 for those who want it. GM, likewise, has both. There are still a lot of buyers who don't want the complexity and potential reliability issues of a turbo engine.

One thing Stellantis could do to ease fears about Hurricane is to slap a 100k mile warranty on it like GM has done with their turbo four in Silverado. If the engine is reliable there's no reason they shouldn't stand behind it for 100k miles.

On one hand I could see Ram recalculating and reintroducing a limited number of v8 trucks for it's loyalists. It would be far less in production than the incoming hurricane numbers wise. On the other hand, TKsGarage is far from a reliable outfit and spouts a lot of blather and nonsense. Many times he posts multiple times a day. More breaking news from him on Stellantis than the 2024 presidential election. He is in business to peddle garbage and some people I guess like consuming that. Somehow he has found a niche to relentlessly pounding Stellantis. The bias is so one sided it makes a person wonder what's really going on to motivate that.

Interesting reading all the comments and especially about that channel. I was curious, as a journalist would be, and watched one. I didn't make it through half of it, unfortunately. Just a lot of wishful thinking that isn't based in reality.

What's wrong with making a full-time living on YouTube? I do. It is a business.

I also have a website, all the social media channels to monitor and a host of other things to do each day.

You make it sound like I'm somehow less important or reliable because I have a YouTube Business.
