Console USB not working

I have a 2015 Ram 2500. I have recently run into a problem of the center console USB not work. I have a bench seat and the USB works fine when the center seat is flipped up in the seat configuration, but at soon as I try to use it as the console/arm rest (which is my preference) it won’t connect and I get an error that says “USB error, usb must be removed for reset to complete” It use to work fine both ways and now I can’t seem to find a solution to fix it. Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated!

You'll likely need to disassemble it and find the short. Mine started doing this too but when the seat back is up.
