got a 2017 2500 diesel
Started last few weeks
After starting engine getting up to speed sounds like cooling fan is spinning up loud. Not like a bearing just fan noise. I drive a diesel truck for work and the only time I hear that sound is when the engine has been running for long long time in heat.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ott

If the 17,s are like my 11 they have a computerized system that runs the electric fan clutch. My fan clutch system quit working on mine and I did a clutch conversion, which does away with the electric system, on it and now it has a viscous fan clutch that was meant to be on a 97 Ford Powerstroke. The conversion hub was made by Strictly Diesel, and cost about $100 or so.
