So, I have the flickering map lights, and I am going to replace them. However, I seem to be running across so many different bulb sizes. I am going to get some red bulbs for the interior. But, can someone confirm the following sizes for me?

Map Lights (I have a 2015 ram with factory LED package)
Rear overhead lights (above passenger seat)
Footwell lights

I plan on changing all of them to red leds. Now, I just bought some 194s for the overhead bed lights. But, I dont see how those fit in the map lights. Hence my question.

Thanks for the help! Also, if anyone knows where to get a good set of red LEDs for the interior, I am all ears for referrals!

Unfortunately, you'll need to modify the housing to use a non-factory bulb. It's not too difficult... here's a write-up.

Ok...so i have read this one. After looking at the 194 size, I just didn't think it would fit. I guess it does. Ill grbq some red 194 bulbs. Thanks!

What about the other sizes. Do you happen to know them?
The LED 194s come in many different sizes. You will likely need low profile ones like these to fit under the lens/diffuser of the factory led housing.

I actually followed this tutorial and did not have to do any modifications. I used the exact size in said video. Lights have given me zero issues. 6 months going now. 2015 Dodge Ram.

Yeah, those are for the older non-factory LED reflector housings. They're much easier to work with. I actually prefer the older style for serviceability. The OP has the newer proprietary LED bulbs from the factory.

THANK YOU !!
I could not get those buggers out either and gave up !!
Now to figure out the back one??

Seems to be a LOT of confusion on canbus vs non ? Some say buy canbus and they will work either way, others say it doesn't matter? Should I buy 1 each and return what doesn't work or don't need?

I ordered everything in white plus 2 194s in blue for the footwells to see how they look ... ordered them all from LASFIT for $72 the have a 20% off sale on their website right now I think it ends today

194 type everywhere in the interior except the rear dome light which is a 578. At least in my 18 crew with the homelink console.

Do yourself a favor and skip the colors, just get bright white ones so you can see and not be 'cool'.

I recently put some LED wedge lights in the older style incandescent overhead console in my 2018 Tradesman. I tried using the zip ties to get the small wedge bulbs out and it didn't work, but then I took some Gorilla tape and stuck it on each side of the bulb, and that pulled them right out.

The rear dome light is a different kind of bulb, it's like a festoon bulb. I picked one up at a local AutoZone, the one that was supposedly for the Ram, but it was a little smaller diameter than the contacts. I just squeezed the contacts down a little bit and now it fits fine.

This is the bulb I got for the rear dome light. They had one next to it that was a little larger diameter contacts that would have fit as well, but like I said just squeezing the contacts together a little bit made this one fit fine. Just make sure it's a snug fit or the light will flicker.

Overhead map lights (194) and rear quad dome (578)

So the overhead map lights are 194 ! For some reason I thought they were 921s :O
I had put 1 194 in and it worked fine ! the drivers side gave a very slight glow, hardly noticeable ! but would not work. And yes I did reverse it in case polarity was wrong! Maybe I just had 2 bad bulbs or was not seated well !
