Sold my Eco and sealed the deal on a 2014 2500 Laramie yesterday. 6.7L, 2WD, 5,000 miles on the ticker. It is certified already and includes 7yr/100K powertrain warranty (from the original sale date, 12/13 in my case), so I've got powertrain warranty until 12/20. They are offering me bumper to bumper coverage for that same timeline for an additional $2100. (no wear items, $100 deductible).

Now, my Eco had zero problems really outside of check engine light annoyances, and I barely put 5,000 miles a year on my truck. I know virtually anything can break at anytime, but how often do all these bells and whistles fail on these Laramies? I'm a wrench by trade, but if these things are plagued with failures, $2100 doesn't seem like a bad deal as some of these parts can add up real quick.

Thanks in advance,

I've had the Chrysler Service Contracts MaxCare warranty on three of the last four MOPAR vehicles I've owned. Two of the contracts paid off, costing me only $200 for almost $4K in repairs.

I purchased one for the '14 2500 CC as well because my experience has been they are worth it. Nothing has happened yet with the current Ram but I feel better having the coverage.

Yeah. One of them things I'd rather have it and not need it, than vice versa I reckon.

Thanks in advance,

I paid $2580 for the lifetime maxcare w/100 deductible for my truck.......

$2580 for lifetime (same deal, no wear items)...and they want $2100 for 4 yrs ????

Contact Clay Robbins at Zeller motors ([email protected]) and ask him what it'd be to get lifetime. I'm betting not much more, and you get a whole lot more than 4 yrs.

He may also be able to beat their price on what they offered too.

Thanks in advance,

I purchased the max care a couple of weeks ago for my 2014 2500. Added 4 years with a total of 75000 miles. My dealer priced it at 3700. Chrysler priced it at 2040. I ended up buying it from a dealer in Hudson, MI for 1555. These prices are for the 100 deductible with a full refund at the end of the warranty period if its not used. I will also receive a pro-rated refund if I sell/trade the truck before the expiration of the warranty. I don't know how I could go wrong- if I need it I have it. If I don't need it I will receive my premium back at the end of the term. If you price a max care make sure you bet the money back option.

that place was more $$ than zeller motors when I priced them.....

Beware of the full refund thing... I asked, and was told it was only pro-rated....so get it in writing if they claim it is full refund if not used (they make no money that way).

Ok...the refund thing must be for the non-lifetime plans....I just looked at mine, and it only does pro-rated.
