Had to take my truck into the dealers yesterday. Seems a critter decided to dine on my wiring in the engine and made a nest in the manifold. Looking for ideas on how to keep them out.

Pine sol soaked cotton balls work well from what I have read and in practice.
Not sure if applicable in this situation

I use peppermint oil. Can get from Walmart. On 1 side I soak battery cover. On other side I had a small prescription bottle that I drilled holes in, filled with cotton balls, soak with peppermint oil and have tied in right side of engine bay. U can also put a common mouse trap on top of battery cover also as added measure

Shotgun work too though not sure help engine lil
