My truck has a cubby above the glove box without a door on it. My dads truck has a door on his cubby. Could that insert on my truck be replaced with one that has a door? Does anyone know where i could buy one?

Also try car-parts.com, I did a quick search and found a bunch of lowers but I'm sure, where there's lowers, there's uppers.

Edit (based on my 2013 model): I see at least 1 upper listed for $50

I like mine being open. Fits a whole box of tissues about perfect with about 4 inches of cubby left for assorted random items, usually my wife's phone lol Used to carry small pocket packs of tissues in the little cubby holes but it seemed like it always ran out when we needed it. Toddlers take a lot of tissues..... :roflsquared:

Same here, like my open cubby also. Nice to put oversize things on them and is no big deal if they stick out and not worry about try to get a door to slam tight. Just do not put anything worth stealing in it

Honestly, I think the cubby is much more useful to passengers than a glove box...

Your probably right. I put in the upper glovebox thinking I would have extra hidden storage. I rarely use it. I do like the look of the upper glovebox though.

I never use my cubby. Occasionally passengers do but thats it. If you decide to sell your upper glovebox and its gray let me know

Checkest thou thy local junkyard! Looks like the current Dodge Caravan cubby door would work there as well, and Lord knows there's TONS of Caravans in junkyards ALREADY. :naughty:

I don't use it much but I think it looks alot better. I don't plan on taking it out. If you don't want to pay the price for a new one there are used ones out there you can find if you take the time to look around.

My wife loves my chubby....oh wait this says cubby. Hahahahaha

Seriously though, the open cubby is nice for passengers. I find folks placing their snacks, phones, etc in there while in trips. It's nice.

The 12 and the 13 up are a different color. The color of your interior is Deisel Gray.

I did this mod, its a bit pricey, but the wife made a comment how she thought the cubby looked funny. After I spent 200.00 to put the glove box in she said she would never make that mistake again.

FYI usually on EBAY you will see just the door for sale, the current cavity you have will not work and also gets replaced. In addition you still need the striker catch for the door, the screws, in addition the light as well, which if you add the light use an LED the design cuts down the light from the bulb so using an incandescent is almost useless.
