Curiousity question for the AlphaOBD guru's.

It looks like you can use it to change transfer cases,so I was wondering if it's also possible to change the 8 sp transmission variety to.Kind of curious if you could swap an 8HP90 in place of the 8HP70 or an 8HP95 Trackhawks tranny and AWD transfer case,and use AlphaOBD to change the transmission/transfer case type.Just a curiousity question,lol

From the digging I was doing earlier on it looks like you only need the shaft output info from the trans and temps to go to the pcm. Also engine rpm I Beleive. Everything else is controlled within the transmission it's self as the controller is integrated.

I only see the option for different transmission shifters and manual transmission option.

I don't know how or why I posted this in this thread,my mistake,lol. So it might be possible to swap in the heavier duty 90/95 trannies in place of the 70 then.Just a curiousity question more then anything.That brings up another question,i wonder if you could enable the 1320 Challengers 8HP70's tranny brake and different shift mapping in a trucks 8HP70

So the tranny plugs are the same. I attached three. One our trucks, second is the jeep and third is the challanger.
It actually does look very doable.

I have also looked into this. I want the brake and shift mapping along with the steering sensativity options all from my u connect. I've often wondered if I had an srt bcm and ecu and went through it with Alfa to mod things for my truck if I could change the performance mapping of my engine for daily or track, aggressive steering, comfort steering, braking aggressiveness al that right from my throne without messing about. I'm guessing I'd need to get a new u connect out if an srt too as the dodge trucks won't let you activate performance pages normally. I'd love these options though! I don't think it'd be hard but may require some monkeying around like getting ahold of factory trans tuning for a challanger or srt and flashing it into the controller as I'd guess it's partitioned or something like that for the different levels of tune.

Makes you wonder if it might be possible to use the 1320's ECU and BCM and marry them to a truck then. Throw the 1320's 8HP70's higher stall convertor in while at it,lol

You can access the performance pages through customtronix .Dylan the guy that was doing the paddle shifter mod,jailbreaked his and he had the performance pages in his 2015 Sport,not sure if you can still jailbreak them now,but it was do-able a couple years ago when he did his truck.It also allowed him to use the navigation while the truck was in motion.

I'd like to execute it just need to find a good donor. Customtronix no longer does the rax jailbreak, too many updates to keep up on so he's only hardwire stuff now sadly. I missed that boat.
Maybe once I get done all the stuff I'm Behind on I'll look into getting bcm and maybe pcm and try it. That'd be a pretty cool package.

I definately will. In programming I don't see why they couldn't/wouldnt work. It's all the same stuff. May just need to swap some Vin's around to make it talk but I don't see that being an issue.

I'm gonna start shopping ebay Now and see if anyone sells just a bcm and will program it for srt Vin. Who know u connect may just follow suit and give access to everything I want with just that.

So apparently the srt pages are built into the BCM not the 8.4 u connect. So if I got an srt bcm and programmed it for all my trucks settings on top of the srt settings I should be able to activate things in custom settings like paddles and performance and steering modes. So I'm just gonna see if the connectors are all Wired the same and maybe order one to try. [emoji57]

Srt bcm is wired totally different and will Not work I hoped it would be that easy as well but no dice [emoji17]
