custom mounted trinity programmer

just thought id share with you guys how i mounted my diablo trinity. so I wanted to mount it somewhere that wasn't obstructing my sight or my sun visor when I wanted to flip it down, i already have a pillar gauge for the air pressure in my air bags and air horn tank so that spot wasn't an option. so it was time to get creative. i took apart the adaptor to mount the trinity in the pillar mount and used the pivot part of it to mount it to the tray above my radio. im happy with it.

How did you run the connection to the ODB port? And do you just unplug it every time you stop? I made the mistake of leaving mine plugged in for a couple of days once and had to jump it in a snowstorm. Won't do that again

I ran it through the same route my rca wires are ran to the LOC behind my radio. had to cut a square hole in the tray for the plug to fit through and just made an X in the little rubber piece so the plug would fit through but still have a somewhat clean look. the day after I installed it my truck was dead and barley started but ive talked to a lot of people and they say change the sleep timer to 60 seconds and it will fix that. im out of town at work right now so I haven't had a chance to test that. I work in the oil fields so Im always out of town for work so when I leave for a few weeks I will unplug it from the ODB port.

So something to keep an eye on, my truck was dead when I got back from my hitch after buying the Trinity and being a retard left it in. So lesson learned adjusted the sleep mode and I thought everything was fine and dandy, BUT, if you are in the monitor mode when you drive and you shut your vehicle off without "halting" the monitor mode, your gauges on your truck with turn on and off the entire time almost like a pulse. A page comes up when you turn the truck off after a few seconds and asks if you would like to halt the monitor mode. My truck died from that as well while I was home one time.

Yeah, you can hit the halt option on the touch screen or hit the bottom of the two physical buttons and that works as an exit as well. I totally agree though. All my friends that are running tuners on their diesels literally just shut off their truck and walk away. Fire up and monitor modes comes right on. Bunch of hogwash.
