I lied. I had to pull to hoopty out of the garage to get the ram in. Took a shot just because I noticed that the hood is higher than to roof of the Monaco.

Today's update. NFab light at purchased from member @oilslick a couple months ago.

Added a couple Hella 500 black Magic driving lights. Waiting on a pair of Hella fog lights to fill out the bar. BUT, having seen the black magic on the truck I may puy another set of black magic and add the amber bulbs. I love the black reflector.

I placed the bar in the lower license plate holes in hopes I could clear the park sensors. Alas that didn't work. So I may go back to the upper plate hold and move the parksense sensors. However I kind of like them low mounted.

Delema.

Quick and dirty on the wiring;

Fused 15A from the + in from the battery to PDC then to the lights through a relay, lights grounded under the front bumper area.

Trigger wire comes off of a splice from F983 in the PDC to the relay. Ground wire for the relay is run in to the cab, and where the switch is placed in the center console. Output from the switch is connected directly to ground.

Switch is placed in to the on position, it completes the circuit triggering the relay and completing the high side of the relay circuit to the lights.

Schematic. Super simple. Fuse is inline from battery to the relay.

Not much to report other than melting the light covers one morning driving my son to school. So I replaced all of them with the Hella stone guards. Replaced all the rear driveshaft u-joints.

So I had to get a few night shots just 'cause..

Oh yeah, I forgot. Had the front windows tinted at the dealer $80 bucks matched to the rear doors, lifetime warranty on fade and bubbles. Sore johnson deal, just can't beat it.

Found a place to go sand roading legally in SWFL that wasn't a 3 hour trip. Actually about 5 miles from the house. Not much to say when going off road in FL, if you're not swaping you're pretty much just driving on sandy roads.

It was fun. Took.my 10 year old out for the first time he'd remember. Went out lots with him in my 2003 but he's too young to recall.
Anyway he got to take part in his first trail repair. We found a hill that was a good size but a lot steeper than I thought. Bent the bumper and took.out the air dam. He was concerned because the driver tire was hitting on bottom edge of the bumper. Hooked my jerk strap around a tree and used a come along to pull the bumper as straight as I could get it. It's close but you can tell it was bent. No pick.of the hill or damage as I didn't think about it. Next time though.....

It was a good afternoon in the truck.

Thanks. I was thinking of a new bumper. Frigging kids and Christmas ate up working funds. So I had to cheap out. Found a deal on Amazon for some Chinese off road bumpers @649 for front and rear.

They'll have to do until I save up for some better ones but I wo t continue to screw up the factory parts and I won't have to worry about cutting a tire for the time being. Plus if I don't like the look I ain't out much.

We were discussing it here;

The reason I said deal, is because on their site it lists the same pairing @ $949.

The longer I live the more I hate people. Apparently the rear bumper was hit at the Home Despot yesterday.

How do I know? I park ass in. So everything I walk to the truck it's the first thing I see. And this morning g I was like why is the plastic on the bump bowed up like that. Then looking around since I haven't washed it since last week I see the mark and the pucker on the bottom side.

Yes I'm going to use the Chiner bumper I ordered but the thing is the current bumper was a mere 9 months old. The dealer replaced it when I bought the truck. And now it's bent.

I do, I'm sorry, but I do hate people. No frigging respect for anything.

Rear bumper came in. Still waiting on the front. Some nics on the edges from shipping. Not going to complain for the price and the neighbor plans on rhinolining his jeep soon and we've talked about spraying this if I think it needs it.

Overall it's OK. I have to figure out the license plate lighting and the senson holes need to be drilled. But I knew this going in.

We compared the metal to his smittybuilt bumpers on the jeep and they're real close in thickness. And you can tell it's there driving it. Probably 4 times as heavy as the stock unit.

Went out and did some measuring with my vernier calipers. Main part of the bumper appears to be 9/64ths. And the structure and bracketry that bolts the pieces together and to the frame mounts is 3/16. Hardware is M12 and marked 8.8.

Interim step until the new flares arrive Sunday. Still has the factory fender liners. Had to trim a piece about 8 inches long and 2 inches wide diagonally from them then heated with a heat gun. Moded where I needed to. Can't wait to see what it looks like with the new flares.

Just need the black headlights Mopar offers on the night edition and the roof rack and I'm done for a bit. March time frame for that I think.

I'm having to adjust to the black flares. I intend to either body match or perhaps a different sheen of black on the flares. Still have some adhesive to clean off from having to remove the badge to fit the flares.
