2011 Ram 1500 5.7 with 150000 miles and no codes thrown to date. But check
Out the damage done to the camshaft. She had a very slight tick almost two years ago and I started using Redline 5W30 and she quieted right down. Even had oil testing done via Blackstone (posted results in the the oil thread) results came back pretty good. Glad she’s changed out now! https://youtube.com/shorts/epkqYTDC-ns?feature=share

Many guys say awe ticking aint nothing, these things can tick forever. You can actually see the cost of 1.5 years of ticking, when these ticks yes you can get some miles out of them, but if you can drop a bottle of lubegard or use redline 5w30 why not get that tick out? mine only ticked for a couple thousand miles, and I have been on red stuff since 3500 miles new, it would be nice to see what my cam looks like someday. thanks again for posting

what oil you using now?

I use Redline 5w30 with Lubegard. Winters I drop down to 5W20. Not a problem. I was waiting to see what this cam Looked like as I figured she was going.

Well mines been ticking hard for 2 years now. And this winter made is even worse with all the -50 Idling it saw.

Cant wait to see what it looks like when I take it out in a couple weeks as all my stuff should be here for my cam swap.

Headers do make the Ticking sound seem worst then it is.
