Good morning, I the process of putting the rear drum and hubs on, I couldn't really find no specific information on my particular rear hub set up. I have the 6 prong nut with a 1/4" key and a retainer. So all the instructions I am finding don't seem to be for my style but the style with the lock-nut and wedge. Now I have seen this on GM Dana 70 set ups before. So how should I set this up. It's currently setup like a GM.
1.Torque to 50 ft.lbs.
2.Back off nut
3.Torque to 35 ft.lbs.
4.Back of 1/4 turn.
So my keyway didn't line up so I put the socket on and turned it clockwise, about 1/2" and put my key in, and the spring retainer. And it feels good, I could not feel any play. I will put an indicator on it to see if it registers.
