    ... well, not really. But my truck somehow thinks it is. Does this mean warranty time? First time I've seen this happen, it's really about 67º outside.

    Maybe your ambient air sensor is intermittent or the connection is intermittent? You could try jiggling the connector?

    Just something to try.

    but this was in the middle of the day... five minutes down the road it read 67º

    I see your point now. Would suspect the sensor.
