Good build up thread.

Out of curiousity does anybody make a cat back exhaust for the 4.7 in a shortbox regular cab truck.

If you had roughly $2,000.00 to spend on some bolt-on mod's where would you guys reconmend spending that amount.

I don't want a tire burner so much,as just a hair more power and maybe slightly better mileage.

It'a a 2013 model, and the wife is the major driver.

No nitrous or convertors, that's going too far,it's still under warrenty.

No i'm not scared of nitrous, still have a hundred pound bottle of medical grade stuff in my garage from my old street racing days, just not on this one "yet",maybe after the warrenty expires:happy107:

Yea I'm pretty sure their are exhaust systems for your 2013. Ill get you some links tonight. With 2g's? Nothing serious... An AirAid CAI, programmer with performance tune, exhaust, leveling kit (rear drop) and some wheels? You'll get some bang out of your engine.

Thanks guys.

How big a footprint does your throttle body leave in the computor Moe.

Out of the handheld tuners available, which one would you guys reconmend.

The local speed shop carries a few differant brands/varieties,ie:Superchips/SCT/BullyDog are just a couple off the top of my head that they carry, any perferances?

I did a dealer swap on fancier 17's,so i wasn't to worried about rims/tires yet,but the rear lowering kit sounds intriguing.

How big a job are the rear kits to install.

Been GM for years this is the first Dodge i've ever owned, and i appreciate all the tips you've got in your build thread DK.

Already copied your idea on the painted grill DK,thanks

Our TB actually starts off as a brand new OEM core, so the dealership wont have any clue that it was ported. Its a sneaky mod...haha.

As for tuners, the best bang for buck unit would be the Superchips Flashpaq. If you want to take it a step further, then we have a sponsor on here called Hemifever that can write a custom tune for you using Diablo.

Yea what matt said.. I have tried all 3 lol.. Ive had a Diablo trinity then switched to a superchips flashpaq, and now i have a Diablo programmer but a tune by HEMIFEVER. the superchips and hemifever are pretty close when it comes to how they feel. A diablo tune compared to the superchips is night and day differance. I recommend for your truck and how your gonna use it to get the superchips flashpaq. Its simple. Just plug it in and program it with the handheld. Get the superchips, its a gain of 64HP IIRC. The HEMIFEVER tune is if you wanna get real serious with your mods.

Dk hows the ride with the Ground Force springs.
Curious why you cut the originals then went to the Ground Force set-up.
Did the ride get to stiff with the original springs, after they were cut?

What size are your rims and tires?

Matt would there be much benefit to running a throttle body spacer behind your throttle body.

This is what i'm leaning towards a SuperChips tuner / Airaid CAI / Matt's throttle body / rear lowering kit,and a cat back exhaust,(still have to find a cat back kit though).
Should fit in my budget, and keep it wife friendly.

Don't mean to hijack your thread DK,but i like what you've done to your truck.:headbang:

Thanks for the input guys,it's very much appreciated

I am not a fan of TB spacers on any fuel injected vehicles, so I would save your money on that one. Do you want me to put together a quote for you on the TB, intake, and Superchips? I will start digging around for an exhaust as well.

The reason I had cut springs first was because at the time there were no kits available for my truck, and I didn't have cash at the time. It was a cheap and quick mod so I went with it. The ground force kit is awesome, no ride difference. Definitely should get one if your thinking about leveling it. I'm pretty sure your rear end setup is the same. You can call ground force to see what they think about it fitting the 2013 but I'm sure there won't be a problem with fitment.
A throttle body spacer is just good for a cool sound when you get on the gas from your CAI. No performance gains.
My wheels are 17x8's and tires are the same size as factory.
No problem man, id love to help out a fellow 4.7 guy.
We are making our own headers, when we successesfully complete it ill see if your interested in buying a set.
Let Matt at Moesperformance take care of all your stuff, he's a badass guy and provides good customer service.

Same thing for the exhaust, the 2012 systems should fit your 4.7

I confirmed with Magnaflow today that all their kits for the 09-up Hemi also fit the 4.7. Are you looking for a side exit, rear exit, or turndown in front of the rear axle?

Magnaflow is kinda pricey, you can go with a Gibson or flowmaster system, depending what your looking for. I'm sure moesperformance can get you those brands too.

I wont sell Flowmaster because of its lack of performance on the trucks, and the Gibson kits I have seen all rusted out within a few years. Magnaflow costs a little more, but it will hold up to the harsh Canadian winters much better than the cheaper aluminized steel kits.
