Anyone running one? If so what models? Besides the obvious potential benefits of proving fault in an accident I'm always seeing interesting things in my travels and saying **** where's my camera?

I have been wanting one for a while, too. On youtube there are lots of videos of Russians with dash cams, seems many cars in Russia have them... What's up with ours?! Lol

From the ones I've see it looks like a GO Pro and RAM mount. I say do one up if you really want one.

The Go Pro's are nice but it would be nice to have something that came on automatically when the truck starts and overwrites the old video when it's full. I like the compact size though.

There is an app " car camera" that does pretty much everything you want.

The GoPro is not really an ideal dash cam solution. It's designed to run off of batteries, and not meant to function as a dashcam. Dashcams will start recording as soon as you start the car, they run off of the car's power, and they keep overwriting old footage, until you need to save the data.

If you're going to spend the money on a GoPro, you can get a really nice dashcam. I like this one. The OBD overlay is awesome, but it doesn't list the Ram as a supported vehicle.

I've been using an Ojocam (www.ojocam.com) and I love it. It is very small, so most people won't even notice that its there. It is inexpensive (Newegg has it for $87 until 7/24/14) it has GPS logging and a few other nice-to-have features. It also has its own internal battery and can take still pictures, so you could use it to document damage to your vehicle in an accident, for example.

Good call I was thinking of something universal that you could take anywhere.

I like the look of those Ojocams. Might be right up the alley of what I'm looking for. Thanks.
