find all the screws and go to town taking one piece off at a time....thats how i have done it in the past on some previous vehicles (my 01 eclipse was a royal PITA, it had like 30 screws, facing the front of the car in next to impossible to get to places around the airbag) If i were you i would take out the glove box, look around, take off the panels on the sides, look around, start removing screws and pulling slightly to see where it is being held in, look for screws or clips, and take it slow. best advice i can give you since i haven't taken mine out yet on the ram. Some vehicles are a huge PITA, others are nice and easy and just take the time to do it....but i am sure someone here has done it before and can give you a little bit better help than me

there is 3 or 4 bolts under it (you have to remove the glove box to get to it)and remove them and it will come right out thats how my 99 model was

Also let it sit a few hours. The system for the airbag holds energy for a long LONG time.

Ive always disconnected the battery and let it sit for about 10 mins. Havent been hit in the face yet. By a airbag that is.

I dunno. I never wanted to try it. But read in the service manual about it I think.

i think its anywhere between 5 minutes, and 30 minutes, depends on the manufacturer. Definitely something to know before you take it apart. i know on my old 01 eclipse it was 5 minutes, i waited 10 to be safe.
