I'm looking to wire a dashcam system that be a total of 3 cameras, Internal on windshield and two side mounted cameras on the exterior, video feed hub and an in cab monitor to view the video streams.

I will be running both constant and ground from the vehicle battery, into the cab and under the center console to an accessory panel switch.

The constant will have an inline fuse at the battery, my questions are,
- do I need a relay? When researching for light bars, etc, the recommendation is to have a relay.
- do I install a relay before the accessory switch or after the switch to the hub/cameras?

Does this look correct?

Lastly... if anyone know of a drop mount or bracket of some sort to mount external cameras to the underside of the mirrors, that would be awesomeness (last 2 photo ideas). Currently using clamp mounts.

What is the accessory switch going to be used for?

Using the switch panel as a battery kill to the camera/hub. The other two switches right now go to nothing and are there for when I do add LED Lights.

So typically, the relay would be used to provide power when a certain trigger is met. In your case, that would likely be with accessory power (not always powered). Is that what you want to happen (switch goes dead when the vehicle isn't running) or do you want the switch to be the trigger for the relay?

Correct, to power the accessory when the switch is on.

I do understand that if I keep the switch on with the vehicle off, there would still be a draw from the accessory. The camera setup is supposed to be wired constant and has it's own 'sleep mode'. I am wanting to be safe, where I can control the constant power (as switched power)

Right now, the first two switches are tied to switch power from inside the cab and connected to a GPS tracking device where the switches emulate being connected to triggers like PTO or Lights (no actual accessories installed). I'm looking to isolate the 3rd switch to have constant where I can choose when to power just the camera setup.

I only want the camera setup to be on when I am the sole person in the vehicle.

I hope this makes sense?

I think I got it... [updated] there will be a 7.5A inline fuse from battery to switch, 15A inline fuse from switch to relay and then each device has its own inline fuse.

Totally appreciate you responding.

Yep, this will get you what you are wanting. What cameras/hub are you using? I ask because I have wired a hub and cameras directly to the cargo camera input of my 8.4" factory radio and if you have an 8.4 you might be able to go without the separate monitor.

I'm testing a commercial fleet system, Driveri (Netradyne) Camera system. D-215 dashcam with forward and back facing cameras, 2 blind spot cameras and a 3rd party split screen monitor (y cabled from blind spot cameras).

Next steps would be to see I could split my OEM tailgate camera RCA to an RCA and 4pin where I could add a connection to the hub.

Interesting! I know that the aftermarket systems direct the camera into an RCA connection on Android head units so I don't see why it couldn't be split. Keep in mind the rear camera has logic in the BCM on when it cane be on and off.
