Dashlights wont dim on auto?

My dashlights and radio wont change brightness when using my dimmer dial. It works when I have the headlight switch turned to on. It just doesnt work when the headlights are on auto. It used to work. Anyone have this issue?

I kind of noticed that my self. Maybe it's normally on when in Auto mode. Never paid too much attention to it.

As long as it's off when I shut down.

I've noticed at night when my lights are on the dash/nav screen doesn't dim. It's set to auto in the settings. I have to manually dim it.

If you look at the switch there is a setting that has on bright. Roll the switch towards the drivers door just a hair and you will feel when it goes over the little bump. Basically when you used it to turn on your interior lights you didn't roll it far enough to the left when you turned off the interior

There is the adjustable setting and if I remember correctly there are two clicks at one end. I was driving in the rain during daylight and my dash lights were on but too dim to see. I clicked over to the brighter setting. That night my headlights came on when I started the truck and they seemed to be in high beam mode and blinding me. I forgot that I had changed the setting and put it back on the lower setting. The rest of the rotating setting was the dimming part.

Razzaa, my dimmer control works the same if the headlights are on in "auto" or manually put on. If yours is behaving different, you should let the dealer know.
