my dealer changed my oil in my 13 5.7 and put in valvoline full Synthetic 5w-30. Will this hurt anything?

Probably not, but on the off chance it does keep your documentation and it will be on them!

the reason 5w20 is the selected oil has to do with cylinder cut out lifters. Here is where I may be wrong, but read somewhere. Is that the wrong weight of oil could cause issues with those valves or lifters. But like this indivdual says or let the dealer know they put the wrong weight in. To br honest do it thru an email so you have a document proof.

Lots of folk use 5/30 in their hemi and not one has reported an issue. Some say the 5/20 is too thin for a V-8.
