My friend ordered his 2022 Longhorn from St Charles and got the chrome bumper. My factory order 2019 the same, but that is several years ago
Yes, you could get the chrome on the Limited Longhorn last year. But not this year.

maybe ask the dealer to order the truck you want and also part of the order is they order extra chrome bumbers at dealers cost then when the truck comes in and the bumpers are in they install at no cost. If they want the sale they may do it . get it in writing

While there may not be ANY 100% Brand New Bumpers available
BUT !!

There are thousands of take offs all around

Remember, every Bumper maker, ie: Ranch Hand, Rough Country,
ADD, etc. must have a pile of Factory Stock Bumpers in their satellite yards

Seems rather a-nal retentive. I am looking at ordering a custom factory built 2023 Longhorn. They have chrome bumpers all over the place at the assembly plant in Saltillo, Mexico. They build and are putting chrome bumpers on Laramies and Limiteds,... why not just grab a couple and bolt them on? How hard is that?

I tried to reason with the lady at Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, LA about this but got nowhere. All she said is I could swap out the bumpers, aftermarket. What? And then what do I do with a pair of red painted bumpers? Fooey. I'd like to get an email address of management in Saltillo because I bet I can manage to accomplish this. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can find an email address at the Saltillo Plant?

If you go to build a ram .com. You can build your truck. And it will let you add everything that is available and what’s not. They build packages now not individual parts and pieces

Exactly.

This streamlines their production process and allows them to manage their costs and maintain profitability.

Except the website is not 100% accurate to what you can actually order at a dealer via the dealer's ordering site. There is a certain level of customization you can do with options that simply don't exist on the website builder.

For instance, for the longest time some options removed other options. Like adding the night appearance package used to remove the bucket seats, for whatever reason. And you couldn't select the sport appearance package with any motor other than a diesel. The website was a disaster that made no sense.

Ford's is/was the same way. I was building a F250 and any time I added the black trim package it reverted the color of the truck to black. Even though I confirmed with the dealer that you could add that package to any color truck.

What I'm saying is don't take the website builders as gospel. They're anything but accurate.

Correct - easiest example is colors. On most RAMs right now on ramtrucks.com it is showing half the colors that are actually available. Best way is to build it out and send to your preferred dealer (or multiple, actually) for a quote.
