Just got a 2019 1500 SLT classic crew cab. My last truck was a 2000 Dakota SLT, so I'm a bit out of the loop. I get Tradesman, Bighorn, Laramie, etc but when I go to accessory sites, often they use designators like (DS\DX). What does that mean? Also, often there's no option for SLT, but I'm assuming that an SLT is just a bumped up Tradesman. Is that right? Where can I find the decoder ring for all of these labels?

DS is for the "Classic" body style; DT is for the "New" body style.

DR = 3rd generation; DS = 4th generation; DT = 5th generation.

My 2005 is an SLT, but I can't find that designation anywhere on the Ram Truck site for any of the current models.

Ds is 4th gen bodystsyle. Slt is the fleet designation
It's an upgrade from the st base tradesman. Usually what a rental fleet would order. If you bought it used. It probably was a rental.
