Diff. Identify

Hello everyone, I am working on customer's truck it is a 2012 Ram 1500 4x4. It had a noise in the rear and I found outer pinon bearing and passenger side axle bearing bad. I got the axle bearing and it fit fine but the pinon bearings wasn't close to to the old one's. It's a used car dealer truck and it has over 200k on odometer. When I started tearing it down I seen that both axles had already been replaced and when who ever work on it before didn't even remove all the original silicone and added some new silicone of a different color. I'm wondering if someone had swapped the whole differential before and looking for the code #'s on the passenger side axle tube I don't see any. Are the codes somewhere else on the diff.?

Thanks for the reply I'm pretty sure it's a 9.25 the cover is like that one in the above pic. except the fill hole and drain hole is in the housing. I wanted to see if there is something to tell what year the housing is. I've got bearings from oreilly and bumper to bumper but both places was wrong.

Some pictures of the diff and housing might help elicit some replies.

Thanks again, the owner was going out of town so I handed the bearings off to him to run them by a drivetrain shop to match them up and I got them now. I'll save the part #'s
