The one thing that lots of guys forget is whats behind the steering wheel. Gary's truck doesn't run mid 12's all by itself. It takes practice, skill, experience and knowledge to be as successful as he is. No matter how much you spend and what you do to your truck, don't ever forget the importance of a skillful, knowledgeable and experienced driver.

Lol No I agree. It takes practice. Especially doing it on street tires. W/ drag tires you can throw them on & after a few passes your good to go. W/ 22" street tires it takes alot of practice to launch just right to not spin but leave has hard as you can. And for every mod that I do to add power really just hurts me worse on the 60' until I get used to it. It has taken alot of money in suspension work to get the stock 4 link to act right going down the track on street tires. If it was stock height the suspension side of it wouldnt be too bad but being lowered turned the suspension into a $2000-$2500 headache. Knowing what I know now I would have never lowered the truck b/c of how I use it on friday nights. I would have just thrown some Core control arms & rear Hellwig on it & spent the rest on performance or just stuck to 1/8 mile racing w/ drag wheels/tires. Im only 1 of a few trying to push the truck in the way that I am. Most people go get a Vette or Camaro & not try to race a truck...on street tires at that. Lol
