I have a 03 Ram 1500 with 4.7 engine and 3:55 gear diff. It has a knock. Will a diff from a 07 fit and work in my truck? I know diff in my truck was used between 02 and 06. I know it doesn’t have the same gear.

02 to 08 are physically interchangeable but there were speed sensor differences in later years. The gear ratio won't be as important unless you have 4x4, then the ratios HAVE to match.

No both trucks are 2WD. My truck is 3:55 gear. The 07 should be 3:73. My truck runs great except axle noise. The other not so much on the running. Is there anything I can do about speed sensor differences?
3.73 wasn't available in the half ton. 3.55 or 3.92.
