I went and purchased this pressure gauge from Amazon as it had some decent reviews. 0 to 200psi gauge. Bought the extended length air Chuck for the rears. It is a little off comparing it to the psi shown in the dash.

I put the air in the rear tires at 66.5psi with the gauge and it showed about 68psi on the psi reading from the dash. Tire pressures on the rears were in the high 70psi range. This was when it was cool out.

Will tweak them a bit later. Need to air up the fronts because they seem low too from what the door sticker says their supposed to be.a75c2e8af12f8f6c85c0328831857a31.jpg9b4d9a822c68c89f5933b31df3b405d9.jpg008bb1e99a3b6b99f7fa8f7dec882756.jpg

Nice setup. Which do you think is more accurate? The gauge or the Ram TPMS reading?

I think there is probably a 2% difference in the reading the gauge gives to what the TPMS is. I haven't tried it against a known good pressure gauge. I have a small regular psi gauge that I can try on the front tires to check. I know that one is accurate.

I wouldn't hold the TPMS sensors very accurate. I use a dual air chuck set up that fills two tires at the same time on a similar digital pressure gauge set up and will see pressure differences from side to side on the TPMS readout.

I checked it against a known good tire pressure gauge. Checked it on my wife's car. Her tire had 32psi in it, on her TPMS, used my regular TP gauge, read the same, and used the new digital gauge and it was at 32psi too.

I think there is at least a 1/2psi to 1 psi difference in the TPMS of the truck vs. the TP gauge I bought. So, it is pretty accurate in my opinion.

OF COURSE the regulator on my Porter Cable compressor isn't working right....I had to go into town and air up my front tires. Another thing to fix.....UGH!!!

A tire gauge will be more accurate than the TPMS , that is provided it's a good quality guage and it hasn't been dropped out tossed in a tool box. It only takes a couple short drops on the ground or a few bumps around in a tool box to knock calibration out on an air guage, manual or digital.

I have 2 digital gauges and one digital on the inflator. None of them match each other or the TPMS. I get 3-4 lbs difference between them. Can any one vouch for a good one?

So far the one I got seems to be pretty good. Longacre gauges are supposed to be accurate tire pressure gauges. They're also very expensive.

I checked all the pressures in my tires and inflated the rear duals to 66psi and the fronts to 78psi. Did my camper tires, my Chargers tires and the boss lady's car. All were low according to this gauge. Seems like everything is spot on now.
