Got a 2012 ram 5500 2 door cab and chassis with a broken park brake cable. The front one that connects to the pedal.
The mopar part number is 55398805AB.
Dealer provided the part #. And it wasn't the parts guy that I usually deal with, so it may not be the right part number.
Dealer says that it is discontinued and I have spent the last hour going down every rabbit hole on the Internet looking for one, or an aftermarket replacement with no luck.
Am I going to have to find a salvaged one? Or does anyone here know where I can find one?

I am finding more and more that oem parts for this truck are being phased out.

The Dealerships & the warehouses that supply them
Generally Stop carrying a part a 10 years, unless there is a upgrade

That part # would not have AB at the end, it could be AB or GG or .....
each time that there is an upgrade, they change the Suffix

The DORMAN company, carries Mopar after market parts

i did a Google Search

If you've not found one, you can always try a large truck shop. They sometimes have the ability to make them up.
