I searched and can't find where this may have been brought up before so I thought I would offer a bit of information here.

For the MOPAR 10 Year/150,000 Mile OAT Coolant (the purple stuff), the Material Spec changed from MS-12106 to MS-90032 a few years ago. So, either one of those MS numbers is compatible with the other. I found this out last year when I bought a gallon of the concentrate for my 2500 with MS-90032 on the label and then realized I still had a gallon I had purchased for my wife's 2013 Jeep Patriot, which was MS-12106. The part number was the same, but the MS numbers were different so I researched it. So for any of you who may have a jug of the older stuff in your shop with MS-12106 on it but you have a new RAM, feel free to use it as it is the same as you would get from your dealer today that will say MS-90032.

10 year oat sds.

Almost identical to peak global life. Basically they upped the ethylene glycol from the hoat years, which is lifetime protection. The other additives are for immediate rust and corrosion protection and an embitterment so kids don't drink it. Hoat had a lot, so hoat's protected metal right away, but it took them a while to figure all that early protection had a cost, and the long life coolants were good enough even in early protection factory fill. This is very simple, not like the Asians which have very specific formulas. All of the ethylene glycol based coolants are dex clones w/o the nasty eha junk. It is all compatible with Chrysler products. It is the most perfect coolant, no phosphates, borates, silicates, nitrites, and amines that other specs have. There is a small group of coolants which Mopar 10 year belongs to that is as close to pure ethylene glycol as you can get. They call them lifetime coolants but whatever, that is just a name, the ethylene glycol doesn't break down, it is all of those other additives that do. Long story short, all Mopar 10 year is the same thing. whatever spec games were played didn't change the formula.

That may be true .................

I was at a Dodge Dealership last year

They had Mopar Oat coolant stacked in the Parts Dept.
I just saw the sign that read Mopar Oat.

The Parts guy knows that i have a Ram, because i always buy stuff there.

He told me that i probably would not want to use the stacked coolant.
He told me that it was the EURO OAT mixture that Fiat uses

I still don't know the difference, but i have to wonder, how many people buy the Euro Fiat OAT mixture, when they buy Online

I was looking for the difference between Ram OAT & FIAT OAT & came across this.

More Questions ?

I did find this:

Ram MS.90032 OAT coolant type is the preferred premixed formula specification.

Some manuals reference MS.12106 OAT coolant type as the concentrated formula specification;

also found this:

Each manufacturer adds different additives to their OAT coolant to address the specific corrosion concerns within their engine design, which can vary between Ram and Fiat.

The only difference is one is pre-mixed and the other is concentrate, other then that they are the same.

To put it simply, if you add water to MS12106 you created MS90032.

Stupid of them to create a different "spec" just because one is pre-mixed and the other is not. They could have sold it under 1 spec and just called them concentrate and pre-mixed
.

That is what I originally thought, also. But both the older MS-12106 that I purchased in 2014, and the newer MS-90032 that I bought last year are the concentrate.
