Can the tail ridge mirrors be disassembled and have oem mopar BSM glass installed?
I want to add power folding mirrors (have the modules and switch) but need the BSM glass. I bought the glass from Benny but I'd like to do power fold at the same time... and didn't want to drop $$$ on oem mirrors... seems the trail ridge for the price are fine... but I need the bsm glass (adding bsm).

Does the oem glass fit in the trail ridge?

So I found power fold tow mirrors on ebay, the correct part numbers, and auctions said they were "perfect" and "new take-offs"...

BOTH showed up with broken plastic housings on the triangle piece that attaches to the door.
They were packed great, it was clearly shipped that way...
So they will most likely be sent back as they're no good to me broken.

On a side note, can the inner plastic piece (the door attached part) be stripped down (from the hinged part) and my stock ones used, motors moved over etc?
Or is it way more work than it's worth?

I wanted to stay OEM, but may just get the A1's and throw on the BSM glass I have for another project.

Do you 100% have to upgrade the door modules when going to lit/folding from standard mirrors?

I ordered new modules for my 2021 Classic to add power folding windows. The existing modules in its doors are 68225100AD and 68225101AD. It was converted to RHD in Australia in December 2021 so it'll probably be a mid 2021 US build.

68225103AD is still readily available but 68225102AD is NLA from FCA, I had to get one from an Ebay reseller.

For some reason all the Mopar parts sellers only list those two modules as applicable up to the end of 2018, yet they all list 68225102/03AD as applicable up to 2023 Classic. Probably just the spare parts not catching up yet. However my 2021 has the 68225100/01AD modules.

My mirrors turned up today as well, off a 2019 4th Gen Laramie (would have been a late 2018 in the USA I guess). Numbers are:

68231242AM (Right)
68338375AG (Left)

Will be interested to see if they fold in reverse. Mine is an Express so has no memory stuff.

Memory feature (MSM, Memory Seat Module) is part of the Laramie/Limited heated/vented seat set and requires additional wiring.

I changed out my mirrors. Mine is a 2021/2 Classic Express Quad cab. Just had powered mirrors in plain black.

I got a pair of powerfold, heated, chrome, puddle, indicator mirrors off a 2018/9 Laramie (see post two above for mirror part numbers).

New modules (102AD, 103AD) as originals were 100AD and 101AD, plus the correct door switch.

Followed instructions for Alfaobd on post 4, copied and pasted below:

Regular Mirror Codes w/Power fold:

Doors Configuration:
> Folding mirrors Present: Set/yes
> Mirror Turn Signals Present: set/yes
> Mirror Approach Lights Present: set/yes
> Electro-chromatic Driver Mirror Present: set/yes
> Electro-chromatic passenger mirror Present: set/yes

Doors Configuration:
> Driver Memory Mirrors Present: yes/set
> Passenger Memory Mirrors Present: yes/set

CustSetMenu 2:
> Tilt mirror in reverse: yes/set

Everything worked except for Tilt in Reverse. BUT I went into the settings menu on the 8.4" screen and went to mirrors. Has a tick box for Mirrors Fold in Reverse. Ticked that and they work.

Mine doesn't have a rear window demister/heater so not sure if the heated mirrors will work or how to turn them on manually, but I don't need them anyway.

One thing I just noticed, my outside temperature is now reading wrong. It's about 20degC but it is reading -36degC. Is this sensor in a mirror? Any clues how to fix it?

Problem solved. Temperature sensor was actually missing from the Laramie mirrors. Guy I got them off must have used it in his Clearview replacements! Just pulled it out of the standard mirror and put it in the Laramie one and all working.

I finally managed to get the time to convert my mirrors last weekend.
Same parts ie mirrors, modules, and door switch.
After programming everything works, except for the mirror turn signal on the left-hand side.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with any wiring modifications during the local RHD conversion.

On the right-hand side mirror the body mounted turn signal does not flash anymore but the turn signal in the mirror works.
On the left-hand side the body mounted turn signal works but not the turn signal in the mirror.
Using AlphaOBD, connecting to the door modules I can test the indicator function for each mirror and the result is the same.

Ultimately, I would like for both turn signals (mirror and body mounted) to work on both sides.

With the original standard non turn signal mirrors, both of the body mounted turn signals were operating correctly.

I wonder if it would be as simple as wire tapping into the working signal on each side and connecting that to the non-working light respectively to get them to work.

I thought just the door harnesses changed, these all have MADE IN AUSTRALIA on them. My guess was so the door controllers could move from side to side, so new harnesses were needed for the different plugs that the controllers (with switches) have. The modules don't move and the mirrors obviously don't. If there was any wiring trickery done to make the mirror indicators work you'd think they'd do it in that new harness - there is no wiring between the cab and the doors other than the power supply and canbus, all of the wiring for individual items is between the door modules and the consumers in the door.

Note that the body mounted turn signals don't work anymore on mine after the mirror upgrade, only the mirror mounted indicators. I don't understand how one of yours works and one doesn't, it suggests a problem with the door module not getting the update from the body controller? Maybe try toggling the following the Alfa to NO then back again after a while.

> Mirror Turn Signals Present: set/yes

One thing I did notice with my mirrors was one wire is not connected in the mirror harness, like it has been cut. My mirrors were off an ASV Laramie, and I think it was the left one. Will have a look at pictures to see if I can see which wire it was. My memory says green but that may not be right.

So I got a little bit of time today, checked and changed the setting in Alpha and no luck.
Pulled off the LHS door card and checked the wiring. You are correct that there is a cut wire where they have tapped in for the turn signal.
I have reconnected that wire back to the original position along with the yellow wire in the AU 4core loom for the turn signal and now have both the side indicator and mirror indicator working on the LHS. Popped the door card back on and all is good.

Since I wanted the turn signal to work on the RHS I thought I had enough time to pop off the RHS door card and do the same thing.
But I was wrong, the only wire connected of the AU 4core loom was the red wire. The black, green and white were not connected.
Maybe I was wrong and the RHS turn signal was not working after all??

I ran out of time so back on the door card went and I will try to find some time over the weekend to pop both door cards off and compare wiring.

Hey mate, thanks for the offer but no need.

Managed to spend some time on it today and my issue is now solved.
I looked at the original mirror loom for the RHS and noticed there was a difference in the wiring for the AU loom.
So I copied the differences into the loom for the Laramie mirror and presto it is now working.

For the RHS turn signal to work I connected the green wire to C2 pin 9 and the black wire to C2 pin 10, leaving the white wire not connected.

Pics below of the AU loom I am referring to for those that might be interested.

And this is what it looks like with the indicators on.
The indicators lights are from amazon with sequential led and puddle lights.
The mirror covers are from Ebay cause I didn't like the chrome covers plus they were a bit scratched.

Cool. Well done. So the wire change forced the indicators on the guards to work? Will have to look into it. My mirrors work but not the guard lamps.

I agree on teh black car the black covers probably look better. Min is white and the chrome probably suits it more, photos here:
