I have a 2018 Ram 1500, already have the bumper with foglights installed, jumper harness is in place and headlight switch with foglight control installed. Is the jumper you provide all I need now to connect my foglights up? Thanks

That and getting the fogs enabled in the BCM at the dealer or via AlfaOBD.

Message sent with details.

Do you already have the Mopar jumper harness between the Foglights in the bumper that the dogs out into (with male 4 pin connector on driver side behind the headlight)?

See pictures in the op of both the Mopar jumper harness and our extension harness. (You need both)

Shout out to @Mpgrimm2 great instructions and clean wiring. My only revision is I did not 'gently insert the terminals'. Could just be my truck, but I had to push with all my might through my thumb and finger to get those terminals all the way in. The only hiccup for me.

Been waiting a long time to push that fog light button on my tradesman. Thanks again!

I have a '17 2500 Tradesmen that does not have factory fog lights. It does have the wiring down to the bumper with a dead end connector, and I am assuming these wires run back to the BCM. My question is there a way to tell the BCM to turn on the fog lamps with out buying a new head light switch?

DIY: Add 2013-2018 OEM Foglight Wiring.

** AlfaOBD.
(for activating factory features yourself. See docs linked in OP)

I'll have to post a picture of it tomorrow. The only other thing it might be is for front parking sensors.

Here is the front module under the fuse box

Here is the connector where the fog light jumper harness connects to. Should be near the drivers headlights/fender well if equipped.

Here is what the fog light bulb connector looks like

Here is probably what you are found

What I have must be the park assist wiring. Also it looks like there is no way around the correct headlight switch, unless I knew the correct resistor to add to the circuit board in mine. I've been looking on e-bay for switches. Would a 09-12 switch work or do I need to pay the big bucks for a 13-18?

A 09-12 should work. The connector and wiring diagrams are the same between 09-18

Please keep in mind the 09-12 trucks may have similar wiring as the 13-18/19 classic but the various modules that communicate on the bus may be different/have different node addresses etc. Your best bet to avoid spending more money is to get the correct part number switch (new or used).

*Also* ... This thread is in the 5th gen section/for the 5th gen trucks and these posts should be in either my 4th gen Foglight thread or in a new thread in the 4th gen section.
