I own a 2013 ram tradesman crew cab and had an idea an was wondering peoples input on what they thought.

What i thought was i can take the whole backseat out and start fresh. I was gonna try to find two bucket seats for the back one for the left side and one for the right and leave space in the middle, idk if they make left sided single seats for the back tho. Then i was gonna get like a single 15 inch sub and put it right in the middle and make it flush with both seats so theres no room for it to move. Then get that sub installed then either make or buy from fox box those single sub box enclosures for each side of the seats and put those under the seats and have like 2 10's or something. I wanted to be able to use the backseats still so i thought of this idea. It's just an idea, tell me what yall guys think.

Oh and tell me if theres a such thing as a left sided single bench seat from mopar, i know theres a right but idk about a left.

Thank you
Zachary

What are you saying? You want to buy 2 bucket seats for back, place 2 10" under those seats plus have a 15" in a custom box in the middle?

I think you could save the money and custom build a box and fit 3 10s under the back seat and get some good bass But it's your truck

Wow, 2 x 10"s and a 15"...

Bradknob has 3 x 12"s under his seats in a custom box. No need to remove the seats and go to all the trouble.

Though I have to admit, I'd kinda like to see you do the 10s and a 15!

I couldn't remember if it was 3 10s or 3 12s.

they will both produce different sounds since they have different surface areas

Just pull your front jump seat, and build one of these. What part of Texas are you in? I live in Centerville and could build it for you.

The idea isn't a bad as guys do it all the time in home theater, I think where it won't be so great is the reason for it. HT you do it for ultra low frequencies (ULF) but that's in movies where it synthesized and music doesn't really get down to where you need a sub that plays 5hz. Just my opinion but it would be sweet to see.

Can't comment on the seats, but will put my 2 cents in when it comes to two different sized subwoofers in the same vehicle. I have tried this and it's more of a PITA than its worth. You end up with 2 sets of subs that play two different frequency bands, so with all the related phase and cabin gain issues you'll have, now add the complexity of multiple sub bass crossover points (you would not want the 10's and 15 play the same frequency range)...Iam def not saying it can't be done....I'm simply saying IMO it's not worth it to try.
